The Gingerbread Charity Village of Lower Sydenham
This Christmas the owners and friends of The Dolphin have combined forces to design, build and bake a model of the village of Lower Sydenham entirely from gingerbread. With a church, pub (The Dolphin of course), garage, school, manor house and several houses all packed with sweets these are

without doubt the most desirable properties in SE26.  A mixture of Sydenham Gateway, Sydenham Town Museum and Gallery and the Brothers Grimm, the village was on display from Sunday December 7th before being raffled off building by building . All proceeds will go to the Teenage Cancer Trust so please buy lots of tickets (on sale at the pub)

The draw took place on Sunday evening 21st December and the winners are:
Laura Wilson - Manor House; Jessica Chaney - Church; Annabelle Clendenan - Pub; Helena Kingwill - Shop; Tina Rickwood - Garage; Nicole Wilson - School; Matt Seccull - House; Paul Banham - House; Gordon Browne - House; Guerrier - House. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. We raised over £500 and it was a lot of fun.

There’s never a good time to get cancer, but for a teenager the timing seems particularly cruel. Young people can get some of the most rare and aggressive forms of cancer. The emotional upheaval of adolescence can make a cancer diagnosis even harder to cope with.
