2008 saw a spectacular production of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream (details here), Spontaneous Productions returned to the Dolphin's garden in 2009 with an inspired comedy entitled 'Sherlock Holmes and The Curse of the Werewolf'. Produced, directed and acted by local people, it both delighted and entertained. Full details here. |

| For Christmas 2008 the owners and friends of The Dolphin built a
model of the village of Lower Sydenham entirely from gingerbread.
With a church, pub (The Dolphin of course), garage, school, manor
house and several houses all packed with sweets, the village went on
display in the pub for two weeks before being raffled off building
by building with all proceeds donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
