A Midsummer Night’s Dream is brought to magical life in this open-air production by Spontaneous Productions. Tangled love-lives, mischievous fairies and a troupe of rough and ready would-be actors, intertwine in what is arguably Shakespeare’s funniest comedy. Staged in the unique setting of the Dolphin Pub Garden, expect magic, mayhem and mystery.

A fully-staged, professional production employing locally-based actors, it promises to be a summer treat for all the family. Please note that this a modern-dress production using a trimmed version of Shakespeare’s original text. (Running time approx. 2 hrs including interval.)

 About the company:

Spontaneous Productions formed as a repertory company of actors in October 2007, following Kirkdale Bookshop’s evening of promenade theatre, Turning the Pages. Artistic Director Jonathan Kaufman has fifteen years’ experience on the London Fringe Circuit, and was previously Artistic Director at the Colour House Theatre Wimbledon, and Associate Director of the Brockley Jack Theatre. The company aims to produce high-quality, entertaining and relevant theatre for diverse audiences.
